The Nadelhorn has an unusual feature: a hole through the rock, just a few metres below the summit. However, it is visible only to mountaineers climbing the neighbouring Dom.

Our family runs this wonderful place of power in the fourth generation and is an oasis of relaxation for us and our guests.

In July and August 2024, we offer a rich brunch on weekends by appointment. You can register under the following link. The mountain restaurant is open on these two days. We offer coffee, homemade tea blends, and cold drinks (including the popular homemade elderflower syrup). Delicious homemade cakes and something small for an aperitif are available.

Various events and workshops take place during the week from June to September. These can be found in our events calendar. You can find more information here.

Hermetje was built in 1889 and is one of Zermatt's most traditional mountain restaurants. The Hermetje mountain restaurant is easily accessible in 30 minutes from the Furri cable car station via the road to Bielti and then via the Larch path to Hermetje.

Mountain hikers on the Monte Rosa Tour can reach Hermetje on the ascent or descend to or from the Theodul Pass. On the descent from Schwarzsee, it is possible to reach Hermetje via the well-known wide hiking trail or via the romantic Alpine flower trail, which branches off to the right below the Schwarzsee chapel and runs across the beautiful Alpine meadows.

Enjoy the peace and the beautiful mountain scenery, we look forward to your visit.
